Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where are you located?
We do not operate a central garage. Our installations are performed at our clients' homes, colleges, or business.
2. I am interested in a particular product, do you have a catalog?
Currently we do not have a full product catalog available online. We operate by free consultation. Let us know what you are looking for, and we bring you lots of options. The benefit to this is that there are no hard to understand captions or descriptions, an installer goes over the products with you directly, and can answer all of your questions.
3. I live in an apartment complex, can you still come and install my equipment?
We can come install at most apartments, but you will need to pass it by your landlord/property manager, and provide us with their information. We have not had any issues with managed properties and doing installations.
4. I'm always at my job, can you come there and install my equipment?
Yes, but just like in the apartment situation we will need the property managers permission.
5. I'm just going to school here, can you install my equipment at my college?
Depends on your school. Some schools do not allow outside work to be done on their premises. You would need to contact your campus security.
6. My car is a lease, what happens when the lease is up?
When you are ready to turn back in your lease vehicle, we will remove all installed aftermarket audio equipment, and put the OEM stuff back in for free. Remote Start, and Security systems are not included in free un-installation though.
7. Do you guarantee your work?
Absolutely. We offer a transferable Lifetime Warranty on all of our installations.
8. What kind of warranty do you offer for your products?
All of the products we offer carry a minimum of 1 year warranty from the manufacturer. On most equipment we sell, as part of the Apex Difference, we extend the warranty for another full year for that extra confidence in your investment.
9. When do you do the installations?
When do you need it done? Except for Holidays, and special show dates, we install 7 days a week, with appointments starting at 8:00 am, up until around 8:00pm depending on the work being performed.
10. What kind of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, credit cards (visa, master card, american express), and personal checks up to $150.00
11. Do you do custom work?
We do lot's of custom work, everything from custom subwoofer boxes, to complete fiberglass trunks.
12. How far will you travel?
We cover Putnam, Dutchess, Westchester, Orange, and Ulster Counties in New York. There is no travel charge for work done in this area. We now will offer our services within a larger radius but minimum orders, and a distance charge will be applied to work done outside the counties listed, and there is special deposit requirements.
13. Do you sell marine products?
Yes we do. We carry a full line of Marine products including radios, speakers, amps, air horns, and much more.
14. Ok, you sell marine products, but do you install them?
Of course we do. Same warranties apply. The only difference is that free removal of aftermarket equipment does not apply to boat installations.
15. Can you install my equipment in my RV?
Definitely. However, just as in boats, free removal of aftermarket equipment does not apply to RV's.
16. I didn't buy my equipment from you, will you still install it?
We will install equipment purchase elsewhere, but installation rates will differ, and although our installation will still be warranteed for life, we cannot warranty product purchase elsewhere. Product not purchased from us is not included in our free removal policy. There are some brands of products however that we don't carry, and will not install due to extremely poor quality and reliablity of the products.
17. Do you price match?
We will price match any competitors printed ads for product. We do not price match most advertised installation rates, as we offer a different type of service. We will price match products from reputable online stores too, call for details on our price matching policies.
